#‎Ramadan‬ is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, and it is when Muslims all around the world will fast during the hours of daylight. Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam.

Fasting is one part of Ramadan, which teaches self-discipline and generosity. It also reminds people of the suffering the poor go through.

There are many more parts to Ramadan such as Muslims will spend more time with family and friends, try and give up bad habits, pray more and read the Qur’an.
