Stepping into Diversity challenged and prejudice by creating educational opportunities for people of all ages to explore the legacy of migration to Glasgow. This was achieved using three key methods: oral histories, heritage walks and youth filmmaking. These, in turn, were developed into a book, film, archive and exhibition in order to widen the reach of the project.

Main Aims of Project

To explore and celebrate the legacy of migration to Glasgow through:

  • An oral history archive
  • Volunteer led heritage walks

  • A youth filmmaking initiative
