Minority Ethnic Super Surfersadmin2021-09-17T12:31:44+00:00
We aim to help Minority Ethnic adults gain more confidence in using day to day technology, help them to access vital online services and to make sure they are able to keep in touch with family and friends. Our goal is to improve digital skills so that all individuals in society are able to lead fulfilling, healthy and socially active lives.
Within the project we will be creating adult classes and one-to-one support based around using the internet, tablets and smartphones.
Main Aims of Project
Minority Ethnic communities in Greater Glasgow have increased support in accessing mainstream services through online and digital technology
Minority Ethnic individuals have increased their capacity using digital skills which supports them to lead fulfilling, healthy and socially active lives
The MESS project will be supporting adults over 40 from the South Asian, Middle Eastern and African communities, with further engagement to reach women.
What We Do
We will be providing free classes and 1-2-1 support. Our team can help you setup emails, use Facebook, use WhatsApp, use Zoom, use apps, do online shopping, teach you internet safety, help you fill out online applications, help you to access government websites, search for online jobs, set up online banking and search for cheap deals.
Due to the Corona Virus pandemic currently all face to face activities and appointments have been suspended with immediate effect. This means we are now offering FREE REMOTE support and training on using the internet, for people living within and around Glasgow. Thanks to our funders.
