
Introduction
Branching Out is a new and innovative project which has been working with Minority Ethnic (ME) Communities to explore opportunities of participation in volunteering, engaging as a community champion and visiting Scotland’s Natural Heritage.
Main Aims of Project
Minority ethnic individuals are engaged in the natural heritage sector
Minority ethnic organisations across Scotland know about natural heritage opportunities
Natural heritage sector agencies have considered the inclusion of minority ethnic communities
The project and its work has been shared widely and encouraged further work
Target Communities
400 Minority ethnic individuals to participate in 12 natural heritage visits. Events will include visits country parks, bird/animal watching, taster conservation sessions for Asylum Seekers, Refugees, New Migrants and BME Communities.
