West of Scotland Regional Equality Council (WSREC) is looking to recruit the following post for our Minority Ethnic Employment Training and Support (MEETS)project.
Assistant Employment Advisor (18.5 hours per week @ £20,000 pa pro rata)

The WSREC’s MEETS project works to deliver an employment and training project which supports people from minority ethnic communities to enhance their prospects within the world of work by targeting people who are economically inactive, with a particular focus on Roma community members, asylum seekers, refugees and minority ethnic individuals who are disabled. The project aims to work strategically with a range of partners to support the pathways of target beneficiaries through the provision of training, work placements and advisory services. A key aspect of the approach will be to ensure that beneficiaries gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to respond to appropriate opportunities within a supportive and inclusive environment.
West of Scotland Regional Equality Council challenges discrimination, reduces inequality and promotes good relations between all communities. We work closely with minority ethnic communities from across the West of Scotland to identify service needs and gaps and respond to them by delivering short and long term projects which meet these needs. We have achieved accreditation from Investors in People.
