WSREC has coordinated the Public Authority Racial Equality Education Forum for the last ten years. In this time we have produced anti-racist Calendars, books of children’s anti racist writing, anti racist posters and published anti-racist training pack for schools ‘Promoting Race Equality in Education’. These resources are very effective in teaching equality to young people and adults.

All initiatives for young people are in line with the General Duty of the Race Relations Act 1976 and the Amendment Act 2000, which addresses all specific points:

• To promote good race relations between persons of different racial groups

• To promote equality of opportunity

• To eliminate unlawful racial discrimination

Her Majesty Inspectorate of Education has praised this partnership working, they feel that it is most valuable and adds to good practise work by all agencies.
