Roma Youth Project ‘Those young people, who made use of a chance yesterday, are today able to give a chance to others.’
The Roma Youth Project is working to enable young people from a Central and Eastern European Roma background across the West of Scotland to have an equal chance to live, learn and eventually work in an environment free from isolation, prejudice, poverty, racial discrimination and harassment. Are you working in a service which could benefit from presentation about Roma people and culture?West of Scotland Regional Equality Council’s Roma Youth Project can provide awareness raising presentations that cover the history of Roma migration and persecution and dynamics of current Roma communities in Scotland and in Europe. Also included is information about Roma language, cultural characteristics and popular stereotypes. Presentations can be tailor made to meet specific requirements.
